On completion of the course, students will have gained a detailed understanding in the use of World and User co-ordinate systems which are paramount in three dimensional CAD. Students will be competent in the manipulation and creation of objects within a three dimensional space using viewing commands such as VPOINT and DVIEW.
The college provides CAD Training to candidates from various disciplines including interior design, engineering, landscape design, architecture, retail design, shop-fitting and building services.

Prospective participants should have experience with CAD 2D prior to undertaking the 3D course. During the CAD 3D course, it is advisable to have access to the CAD programme outside of class time for practice.
Assessment for the course is by way of 2 drawing assessments and 1 written exam.
Successful participants will be awarded the City & Guilds Level 3 Award in 3D Computer Aided Design (7689-06).
I have enjoyed this course, the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The location is excellent for all bus routes to town. I am sad that my experience here is coming to a close.
