The Institute’s entry requirements are designed to ensure that applicants have the necessary background knowledge, ability and commitment to do well on their chosen course. The qualifications are available to everyone who can achieve the required entry standard and have been designed to promote access and progression.
Mature students (those 23 years and older) should refer to our information for mature applicants.

Applicants seeking exemptions’ for prior learning or relevant work experience should refer to our information for advanced entry.
- BA Degree Entry Requirements
Applicants are expected to hold a secondary level educational certificate or other Level 5 qualification. Our BA Degree programmes require a portfolio submission or aptitude test to be completed as part of the application process.
- Higher National Certificate and Diploma Entry Requirements
Applicants are expected to hold a secondary level educational certificate or other Level 5 qualification.
- Certificate Entry Requirements
Applicants are expected to hold a secondary level educational certificate or other Level 4 qualification.
- English Language Requirements
Applicants who come from a country where English is not a first language are required to hold IELTS certification at minimum 6.0 or equivalent for all BA Degree programmes, and IELTS at minimum 5.5 or equivalent for all Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma courses.
